Have you used Illustrator before? It’s a great program but I found the learning curve to be steep. The pen tool was so counter intuitive at first. I watched a lot of videos and that helped. I still have lots to learn.
I wondered if that would happen. I’m not sure if the octopus has left vs right or a radial concept of self so I thought… well, try it and see. Thanks for sharing your reader experience. I really appreciate your time and your comment.
I love octopuses–a fitting tribute! Only thing was I started at the wrong tentacle because of the placement of the dots (are those eyes?), but eventually I found the right order. 🙂
I’m not sure there is a “wrong” place to start though I definitely have an order that I thought of it. But I wondered if an octopus had a radial sense of self instead of a left-right thing and if so, would it matter where it started? But working in 2-D there’s a limit. I’m toying with the idea of making this 3-D somehow.
They are kind of eyes, ellipses. I wanted to fill the space to fit the legs in. 😉
Very nicely done. Good use of bold type to scattered throughout. Made me think about adding colour when I saw the bold face. Definitely set in concrete. Can you do that only in text though? 😉
Extra-ordinary! Brilliant!
No words.. Its just too good! 🙂
I wish i could as well branch out my comments with all the synonyms of excellence!

I think this is the article I first read:

But if you google octopus intelligence there are many fascinating things to read.

Very interesting! I could start reading from any tentacle and it still makes sense! For eg,
Be glad…
its unique way to …
makes as much sense as:
Be glad…
it doesn’t target you …
And it was fun reading tentacles instead of a line.
